Your Flower Challenge

I knew this week was going to be a complete chaos of a time. Trying to catch up on orders, fundraising projects, upcoming eventsthe new shine line, (and I wont bore you with the other things) after being gone for 12 days is crazzzy business. I don't think I'll be partaking in another long vacation anytime soon.
I felt myself starting to to dread the list of things that I needed to accomplish.
For me, I have a rule with work. Work is supposed to be something that I love doing.
Ya, there are mundane parts sometimes, but I have a rule that if I actually start dreading it,
I need to take a time out.
So, in the midst of the craziness, I asked Ashley to spend an afternoon at the Phoenix Public Market
for food truck Wednesday. And we even ran into Chelsea which was an added bonus. Some people think you need to get all your work done before you can play.
I think that sometimes you just need a break to play, and you'll do a lot better with your work afterwards.
A strange man even got right up in my face and said, "You look like Nancy. Those eyes of yours..."
I didn't get it, but figured maybe he was having one of those days too.

There's a little something that I want you all to go do today.
Before you read any further promise me that you will.
Okay, good, you promised. My biggest pet peeve is when people back out of their promises so don't let me down. Go get yourself flowers today. It's a little gift from me, except you're paying and finding them...
So actually it's a little gift from yourself, to yourself.
If you don't want to pay for flowers, go pick yourself a little bouquet.
And then when you get home, put them in a vase where you can see them.
I promise, just do it. Take a time out to do something little for yourself.
Instagram or Facebook me your pictures @theshineproject so I can see them and know that you held up to your end of the promise. My promise back to you is that you're gonna feel a little happier.
If you're feeling really crazy, get some for someone else, too.

PS: The Salt Lake City Shine Event is on the 26th!!!
and if you're still looking for the right Mother's Day gift, until tomorrow, buy 1 personalized shine necklace, and receive an original one free for yourself! Just enter mothersdayspecial in the comments... don't put the free one in your cart. I'll know to send ya one because of the code ;)
And if you want a sweet box of chocolates for her, these are my absolute favorite.
I just saw that you can even get 30% off with code Mom30.

Great challenge! ;) I actually had my eye on a simple boquet at Trader Joe's... now I can give myself cause to get it.

That's so true! I get really bogged down getting work done so sometimes it just helps to go walk about Target for 20 minutes or make a Starbucks run. Flowers are a beautiful idea!
