Hello!

My name is Annelise and I blog over at Bye Bye Beehive.

I like to blog. A lot.

I have more blogs than any one person should.
I have blogs about nails, makeup/trichotillomania, and my odd self.

My Bye Bye Beehive blog is about the ultimate shallow-ness: hair.

A couple months ago I woke up in the middle of the night and
decided that I just needed to go a year without "doing" my hair.

Just to see if I can do it.
I've always wanted long, beautiful hair, and this was my idea to help me achieve it.

See, I'm a typical big hair queen. I love the poofy, stiff and ultra-teased.

I'm calling this 365-day project my big hair bereavement.

So, what can't I do? Simple.

No teasing, hairspray, dyeing or frying. Oh yeah... and no hair products, either.

Ouch, right?

Actually, it hasn't been so bad... yet. I've been doing it for about 2 months now and

I've come up with some pretty fun things.

I like to braid, twist, bobby pin, and even try some funky new styles.

Some of my experiences have turned out great.

Oh, and there are always the ever-embarrassing photos that I post that lead

up to those pretty hairstyles.

It's OK. You can laugh at my expense. Most people do!

There is also one more important detail about my little blog project.

While the mission to grow my hair may be a tad shallow,

Like Ashley, I'm also looking to help my local community.

Instead of spending money on my hair,

I'm donating it to cancer patient assistance at my local hospital.

So far, myself and a few of my readers have raised over $1,000.
