A Note to the Organized

 Pumps- Similar , Shirt- similar

It was probably 110 while shooting these pictures this morning, and despite the bright pastel background that makes you feel like you're walking into a sweet candy shop, we were completely in the hood of Phoenix. But, you gotta do what you gotta do, and the buildings down there are the best backgrounds for Threads bracelet shoots.

My mom is currently at my house organizing my life for me right now. Sad, right? She has Zoe vacuuming one room, Shiloh licking his room clean, and she's orchestrating the best organizational myriad of dreams I've ever seen. I don't know how mom's do it, because now I'm a mom and still can't get my stuff together. As I walked into my office I laughed and ask one of my employees who is here shipping orders and organizing my office which isn't even worth speaking of right now, "Seriously, how many people does it take to get my life in order?"
((I don't think there's a tangible answer to that question))

Ever since I was little I wanted to work for myself. I've always been a big dreamer and have wanted to start my own company. I'm obsessed with figuring out ways to do things, see something grow from nothing, have a fun team of people to work with, and to not have a boss I have to answer to.

But here's the thing about entrepreneurs. We're horrible at being organized. We hate doing menial tasks that are important to make things run smoothly, so if we don't have help everything we're doing will just fall apart. We like the big picture and the thrill of the chase for success, and having an unlimited business potential rocks our socks off.

One of my close friends is probably the only person I've ever met who is exactly like me. I mean, even down to the way we shove our receipts into our bags and like to be in control and we're always calling each other about new ideas and crazy things. And then the crazy things we come up with work, or they don't,  and we go on to the next crazy thing.

So to all of you detail oriented and organized people out there, I tip my hat to you.
And I hope you never see my office because you might have a heart attack.
Thanks for making us crazies get our lives together.

you should NOT see my office. it is SO scary full of fabric and life and half-finished projects. I'm afraid it resembles my brain.

the other day my friend came over and ORGANIZED and cleaned it because I could not, for the life of me, find a pair of sewing scizzors! ahh! I wish I was better at this organizational biz stuff, but it's not my gift. Ideas! yes. Biz math + order? not so much.

Sometimes I drive my husband nutso with my organization. He feels that I take over the house in terms of organizing. I think I have a sickness. LOL.
