Braid, Earrings, and an Awesome Giveaway!!!

It's starting to get really toasty down here in Phoenix, so I thought I'd put my little fur vest to use one last time before I retire it for the summer. I experimented with a new braid today and absolutely love it... I may do a tutorial on it if you all want one!
I'm absolutely in love with the earrings I'm wearing in these pictures from here, and I'm excited to tell you that 1 one of you will be winning THREE different pairs at the end of this post... Go win ;)

Hello fellow Shine readers this is Marianna Christina of Castellammare Designs Jewellery. Castellammare has teamed up with the Shine Project this month for an awesome Giveaway. Castellammare’s theme for Spring has been “Women-helping-Women” so naturally I thought of Ashley and the work she does.
I’m going to tell you a little story that leads into this Giveaway: a few years back I decided to move over 300 miles away from my family to the city of Ottawa, Canada. When I settled into my new city and life I realized very quickly that something was missing. I was at a stage of my life where I had a lot of questions and not a lot of answers. I didn’t realize it at the time but I found myself seeking out female mentors to help me work through the new life challenges I was facing. As I developed these relationships I discovered that all of these women had different perspectives and life experiences and therefore gave me different advice. The next thing I knew I began turning to certain women whenever I had certain questions. I now have a female Health Mentor, Spirituality Mentor, Relationship Mentor, Entrepreneurship Mentor, Office Politics Mentor and the list goes on. All of these women are Mothers and have practically adopted me as one of their own. After all, being a Mother and being a Mentor are roles with many over-lapping responsibilities. I can now say without a doubt that the combined nurturing of all these women has shaped me into the woman I am today.
As we approach the month of May and it’s most important date, Mother’s Day, I encourage you to think not only of your birth-mother but also all the mother-figures in your life.
To celebrate the role of Mother-figures in all our lives, Ashley and I are offering 1 lucky Shine Reader the ability to gift 3 pairs of Castellammare earrings, 1 for each of 3 mother-figures in your life. I encourage you to leave a comment telling us all about the women in your life who have nurtured YOU into the person you now are.

I'd give the earrings to my mom and my mother-in-law : ) Other than that, it would be hard - I have a lot of momma figures in my life. I'm sure any one of them would appreciate these gorgeous earrings!

My Mom and my maternal Grandmother both have done so much to help me be the strong woman I am today. I love my mom so much and always look to her for guidance. I miss my Grandma as she passed away last October, but I always here her words in my head giving me guidance.
I also love my Aunt Jane who is such an inspiration to me as she has gone through so much with breast cancer and is a true warrior.
I also love my Aunt Teresa who is now taking care of my very sick Grandpa and I admire her strength so much.

I would give them to very dear friends, since my mom and sisters don't wear jewelry, and my Mother-in-law has already passed away.

What an excellent idea!
I would gift my Mom, my little sis (who is a mom of 3) and my grandma. I see that Castellammare has a design to fit each of their personalities!

I will give my earrings to my mother (because mother's day is coming up), to my sister and to my aunt. They are the best women in my life and I don't know where I'd be without them!

I would give the earrings to my mama, my younger sister who is a great mother and example to me, and a close friend of mine who's also a great example of a mother in my eyes.

Definitely my mom ! She's so special to me :))

I would give one pair to my mom who has supported and encouraged me through some really rough times. She's the best example of a godly woman...kind, loving, encouraging, helps me see better angles, supportive, prayerful and compassionate. The other pair I'd give to my mother in law who has raised three wonderful children and given me the best husband I could ever ever ask for! The last pair I'd give to my friend who is a single mom raising two kids. She lives on almost nothing and has still managed to go back to school and finish her degree, work two or sometimes three jobs and still manages to find time to do Scouts with her kids, volunteer at their school and work in homeless shelters. She's amazing!

Having recently moved 5000 miles away from my family, I can relate to Christina's feeling of missing those female mentors. Luckily, I'd found some good women in my new city that have taken me under their wing. I'd give the earrings my friend Jennifer, who now introduces me to people as her adopted daughter, and to my friend Leah who helped me to be brave and make new friends here. I'd also send a pair to my mother, because she's still my best mentor even though she's far away.

My sister. She has 4 kids - two of which are mentally handicapped. She deserves these.

I would give one pair to my friend Debbie - who has listened to me whenever I needed a sympathetic ear.

My mom is gone - so I can't give her any earrings - and, Heaven probably has a great selection anyways.... : ) so I would give the second pair to my mother-in-law, who I so blessed to have, and who has always treated me as if I were her own daughter.

I would give the third pair to my friend Sharon, who has given lots of wise advice over the years, and who has been struggling with health issues lately.....but she is a transplant survivor, and one tough cookie. Thanks for the chance to win!

What a fabulous giveaway! This would be the perfect gift to give my sweet mother and mother-in-law. I am so lucky to have these beautiful women in my life. My mother is my dearest friend, biggest cheerleader, and best friend! She would do absolutely anything for anyone and is truly deserving of a surprise like this! My mother-in-law has been my biggest supporter from day one. She is so beautiful inside and out and has raised the greatest man I know. I absolutely adore my husband and am forever grateful to my mother-in-law for nurturing and allowing him to be the man he is today!

My mother-in-law! She's the most wonderful woman I know and has always been there, even when my mother has not. She's been the mom I've always wanted/needed and hasn't ever been mean or judgmental to me because of who I am or where I came from.
